I put this site together as a window into one of my most favorite passions, motorcycling. Though I spent a lot of my childhood on dirtbikes and four-wheelers, I only began street riding in 1997 on a somewhat abused hot rod 1991 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200. Orange and cream two-tone, drag pipes, performance cam,

bored, polished, and a monster carb. (insert "Tim Allen" grunt here) A little dirty on the outside? Yes. But it was all the things I thought I wanted in a motorcycle at the time. So I spent the next year cleaning, polishing, and adding chrome bits here and there. And loved every minute of it!

But while the bike had more than enough power to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I quickly learned that it was much too small for me to take any long trips on it. At 6 feet 5

inches tall, you can probably understand why. Not to mention, my wallet was constantly being emptied at the local Harley dealership. So, after a wonderful year of customizing my first bike, I finally broke down and sold her. The reason? I had gone with a friend to a Honda dealership to pick out a bike for him. I should have known better. There, sitting in the showroom gleaming,

I saw "the one." It was everything I wanted in a larger Harley, only affordable! My jet black 1995 Honda Shadow ACE 1100. And the rest, my friends, is a wind-in-my-hair, big-grinnin', no-butt-achin', two-wheelin', carving the twisties, touring the countryside fairy tale.

So with that, I'll introduce you to my second girlfriend. Her name, which I think speaks for itself, is "Freedom." Ride safe, ride long. Just ride...
